alright...before anyone tells me a 94 corvette is slow, i know this generation of corvette's is slow...so i'm not boasting about my humble dx being faster...because it should be with what i have done to it.

but i'll post this because its worth mentioning...

i'm driving south on i275 over the howard frankland when i see a white new style vette with license plate "strat." i got next to him...kinda looked over...saw an older guy with grey hair...kinda your typical vette driver and he didn't want any so i just kept going...not really looking to race anyone else...

but then an older style corvette comes up next to me...and i'm like alright..i'll have some fun with this guy on the way over the bridge...

so he looks over..i kinda give him a thumbs up and downshift to forth easing into the higher rpm's...at this point i'm doing 70 or so and i pull him over a car length up to 95mph or so...

we kinda hit traffic...then get an opening on the other side of the bridge...so he switches lanes to the left and downshifts and takes off...at this point we are doing 75mph as he starts to get on it...me...being on his right...has to switch over two lanes into the far left lane and get on it...and at this point, he's two car lengths ahead and i'm able to easily reel him in...putting half a car length at about 115mph...

so we just give each other a thumbs up and i roll down my windows...and ask him what year the car is...to which he responds "94." then he's like...there is a car show off of ulmerton...you should stop over and check it out...so i agree although i'm assuming its going to be some type of ricer show.

we get there...and he pulls ahead while i pull over in front of dominos...come back over to his car and ask him what he has done to the car...etc...and if its fast....and apparently he didn't recognize me...cause he's like..."yeah man, its fast, i just wasted a civic on the highway" and i'm like "that was me" and he says "oh shit, what you got done to that thing?"and i'm like...a cam and a new timing belt...it runs ok...just to make him feel a little worse about getting pulled by a stock looking dx.

kinda funny...and made me laugh...as a corvette owner shouldn't have to lie about whether or not he pulls on a civic...

the car show was shitty...but there was a 2001 diablo there and apparently the guy comes out to gandy on saturday nights...its like a purple metallic color and looks pretty badass.

 

really, ... the reasoning behind bragging that you beat a civic in a vette is beyond my comprehension, but anyway, good kill
