I hope your buddies are in the low 9 sec range.
I dont' have my NHRA rulebook handy but a 25.5 cage is certified for sub 8.50 runs. Granted CFL's cage is a 25.2 but gives you an indication of what your friends need to bring to the fight...just sayin...
