I was coming home from Best Buy the other day and i catch this light coming out on to 60 east with a yellow cobra. Well I think it was a cobra I mean just because it looks like a cobra smells like a cobra does not by any means make it a cobra. Anyways we catch the very first light on 60. Light turns and I nail it hoping that he would too but nothing. So I think oh well at least I tried. Later on down 60 I see an older iroc with one of those old sunpro 3 tach mounted on his dash. I sort of chuckle and this guy is smoking to catch up. We both turn on to 39 north and he is in front of me. I stay in 2nd and move past him like he is rolling backwards. I could tell he was in it cause he was biting his bottom lip. I thought it was kinda funny but that really pissed me off when the cobra didnt run me!

 

Try reving at him first before taking off next time!

I got a Cobra Convertible to play with me on the interstate today here in Jax. It was funny I kept it on low boost and he still couldnt pass me! Oh well. Good luck on hunting them!

 

why did you post about not getting a cobra to race you? no offence but if i posted about everyone i tried to get to race me and they didnt i would have about 5 threads a day.

 

Ive raced 2 cobras that I could remember... That was when my car was stock... A 1998 red convertible on the street... we took it from a roll... and a 96-97 black one at the drag strip... Lost to the black one.. Running slicks with a some exhaust mods. He ran a 9.1 to my 9.3 in the 1/8th.

Hey Ken got to drive a 93 Viper today... Almost burnt my leg on the side exhaust too..

There is a spot where you can get on the throttle some but I didnt do it with the viper. I usually give the cars half throttle to get a feel...
