Raced a srt-4
lol why even defend the srt it never ends. But the supra guy says they arent shit stock, i know mine went 13.5 against a older model z about 2 track days ago, actually there is a video, but stock for me was so long ago its prob not anywhere to be found. I'm not going to defend the car, i love mine, most fun ive ever had in a car. I drive my gfs MS6 when we go on trips now because the neon is def no pleasure cruise. Other then a rough ride i can't complain, i know the supra isnt the best DD ever though cant be its ancient.
edit.. i love the heated arguments though TR is always good for this shit.

Anyway, on a lighter note. I hope to have my tires by this weekend.

Edit: and I meant drive a SRT-4, not a Supra. Supras already proved themselves to me.

lol, hey whatever man. My supra is a monster on gas (especially since I fucked up the fuel system so bad. I don't even have an air filter right now). But hey, I still get it done. And I said it about 6 or 7 pages ago, let me drive one worth my time, and then I'll put down my honest opinion.
Anyway, on a lighter note. I hope to have my tires by this weekend.

Well I can't say anything about the supra because i lack knowledge on the subject and for the sake of making myself look stupid I will refrain. Regardless the argument that the srt is slow stock is a good one, I agree so are most cars under 20k how fast in the quarter was that supra of yours brand new ?? and stock ?? and how much did that car cost back in the 80s ?? Since these are your arguments. Like i said i don't know so enlighten me.
I could be wrong on one or two things, but I should have majority in line.
And I'll admit, I probably shot off without good standing ground to, and yeah, I probably looked like an idiot. Regardless, given the proper parts, my N/A Supra could still clock mid 13's.

And it also might help if I get a damn air filter! Those leaves are killing my gas mileage! >

My car back in the day was about $21,000 (if memory serves) for the base model, while the turbo was $300-$400 more. For the sake of turbo consistency, lets go with the turbo. Back in the day, the turbo model bone stock out of the factory rolled 0-60 in 6.6 seconds and the 1/4 in 15.2 seconds. Now take this supra, put under one grand into it, and it will pull mid to low 13's, all with very simple bolt-ons. Now for a 20 year old car, you've got to admit, thats kickin'. Now take a '04 SRT-4 and but under one grand into it, and your still in the mid to high 13's (providing you buy the right parts, it's possible for lower). This is on an average of my little research binge this whole thread.
I could be wrong on one or two things, but I should have majority in line.

I smell bullshit and a lot of hopes and dreams. Not saying it can't be done, but it can't be done with just under $1k put into it. Secondly the turbo option on that I believe went for a little more than 300-400. Don't mean to keep bustin your balls, but when you make a statement leave yourself a way out, with words like "I Hope to run 13's" or "I think it was only 300 - 400 not really sure".

And okay, I might be exaggerating on the under $1k thing. Probably more towards $1500. Otherwise, there you have it. DOn't have anything on that one yet. But there you go, proof of the aformentioned inquiries.

And BTW, never said 'I hope to run 13's soon' or guessed on the extra amount for the turbo. Sorry, just didn't happen
