Today after work, a few guys there decided to race. It pretty much started earlier in the day with some shit talking about who would win. The 4 cars that played were 2002 svt focus, 2004 diesel jetta, newer eclipse gt, and a 4 door cavalier. The jetta, eclipse, and cavalier were all stock. The focus has intake and exhaust. All of the races were about 1/8th mile. The first race was the automatic cavalier and the focus. The focus spins at the start. The cavalier gets out good and holds the focus by just over a car at the end. The second race was the diesel jetta and the focus. The jetta gets out ahead of the focus, since the focus was spinning. This race went to the jetta by less than a car. The final race was the gt eclipse and the focus. Finally the focus gets a good start, gets out ahead of the eclipse, and continues to pull away from there. It was alot of fun watching these guys act up and have some fun.

 

that's too funny. it reminds me when i was at sunshine and a few guy that were watching started talking shit about who's work truck was faster. LOL

1 was a one ton dually 4x4 turbo diesel quad cab

 

its going to be fun on monday, the guy with the focus is going to get alot of shit, but the guy in the eclipse is going to get it worse. But it was all about having some fun

 

why didnt you bring out the beast and show them all up. NEVER turn down the chance to club baby seals if the opportunity arises.

 

but I dont even think I would waste my gas racing a race like that, but that was too funny indeed..

 

i would have wasted my gas...i would have given the cavalier 5 cars and the move, like i give to every cavalier, especially sprayed ones....

no its not common, infact the guys that did this never really street race. It was just some fun after work. The last race I had at work was against a bike. Granted it was a harley, but I was closer to stock than I am now. My boss is the only who has a car at my work worth racing.

 

OK , thanks for clearing that up. It seemed odd people racing stock 4 cyl's.
