i've heard that so many times. the whole house paint with roller. every time someone tells me that i can help but laugh but who knows maybe that is a good cheap way to go. Ill probably go to maaco just because i know one of the guys there and he said if i ever need anything done go to him and he will give me 10% off and because i guess they just went under new owner ship. I've known this guy for a while now and he is a good guy so I dont think he would screw me over with some cheap crap paint job. Also a few of my buddies have went to maaco just for like a hood or other random parts and i have to say im impressed for the price. Now econo on the other hand, a friend of a friend went to them for his civic, and it litterly looks like they got a pack of those cheap sponges from publix or a dollar store dipped them im paint and started dabbing lol. i was shocked he didnt say anything to them after picking it up.

 

which one are you talking about the green or the black?

 

the green^ and i think you should do flat green so i can do flat black lol. but if you dnt like macos price i can give you some info on the guy i know. hes a friends step dad and he builds old cars but does paint work too.

 

1. The house paint with a roller can turn out good, but you have to do lots of wet sanding, lots.

2. I dont know how the actual painters at Maaco can work there, do they not have pride in their work? I have NEVER seen a car get painted at maaco and thought the final result was decent looking.

 

well im with yea on that except for econo. ever since the new owners over there i've seen some nice stuff come out of there. but also people pay for what they get, if they opt for the cheap 200 dollar paint job and the cheap 100 dollar preping then yea i would expect it took look like a 300 dollar paint job. ill see if i cant get some pics together from my friends that went to maaco and ill put how long that they have had the paint job. Ill probably go have a quote from maaco done just to see how much they would charge, but ill most likly just do it myself. start with the hood see how it looks and go from there.

 

lol, my buddie just did flat black to his focus and i was pissed cuz thats what i was gunna do to my jetta, but he really messed it up and is redoing it a different color so that made me happy. but i am trying to picture this color on my jetta and maybe ill do that. but i think im gunna have to stick with the flat black.

Yea I was on my phone lol. But I think I might do like a flat burgandy or something because my jetta is going to have the same wheels as that black one and I dnt wanna be a swagger jacker lol
