it was the traction control light, it flashes when you lose traction. It looks like a circle around a triangle right? also did you lose power to the wheels at all?
if the EPC light had come on that would have ment your car turned off haha

Maybe we should etch a 17 on your head, so next time you act like a tool, we know what drawer to throw you back in.

Yeah its esp not epc sorry... Yeah its the triangle with the circle around it. I hit the button to turn it off but i cant tell if its off or not. Im not going to go do a burn out to test the theory though.

If you turned it off the ESP light on your cluster would remain lit...
hmm im thinking the button maybe broken then... because its still not lit up.

this is correct the button does light up but only when your turn on the headlights, it does not come on when the button is pressed... but when pressed the triangle light on the dash should stay lit.... press it and go do a burnout and see if its working correctly.
if its working correctly you should have no problem doing a steady burnout but if it feels like your fuel gets cut or a sudden loss of power then its not working correctly.
LOL. Have you never spun your tires? i can't keep mine from flashing and that's by accident most of the time. I love my MKV.
