if you aren't confident about using nitrous in your car, don't.
i seriously wouldn't put anything on that car until the warranty runs out, then mess with it if you want.

i agree. i would worry about how it handles first and wait til the warranty goes on it. unless you tossed out your money up front, i wouldn't beat the hell out of the car, but you might have a disposeable income. i think turbos on vw's are a happy medium between the cost and reliabilty factor between nitrous and s/c's. albeit, a good nitrous system will cost you just as much as both after you factor in the delivery system with regulation and wear (less filling your tank, too). the power is on tap without any lag or parasitic loss, but it's usually only good for sprints in most cases. that's just my opinion. i'm new, too.

i would suggest at least some dog bone mount inserts to get rid of wheel hop. once you start making power, you dont want to waste it on hopping wheels. its the best 30 bucks i ever spent. oh, and i would go turbo. a turbo v6 sounds pretty sweet.

god damn calm down killer. all i said is if you aren't confident in doing something, then don't, be safe. if you've researched it as much as you said you have, you must be pretty confident about adding nitrous. i just don't see the point, you or your parents got you this 2004 VW, and its not a base model, and you want to risk messing it up? (before you get all upset saying you did your research, there is still a chance of messing up your motor)
i've never had a brand new car or anything close, i just bought my newest car and its a 97. i'm not even going to modify it at all. why? why do i need to? it serves it purpose of getting me around.

you really cant tap into your intake manifold for direct port cuz the 24v vr's have that plastic manifold shit.... my friend had a 75 shot on his car, and he had n20 backfire and blew his manifold into about 1 millon pieces... i know that that older 12v's can handle a 100 shot ,wet, with ease. for now i am doing a 50 dry and see how that goes on the dyno.

dude nitrous is soo safe it isnt even funny . as far as puddling in the intake manifold on a wet shot is ludacris . you are pissing 900 psi of nitrous into about 50 psi of fuel.. it is WELLLLL atomized . look at carbed 350s and how far that fuel has to travel and it doesnt fall out .

anyways its all in the tune .. your honda buds that blew their motors probably didnt have a wide band hooked up . i have one if you are serious about goin this route and i can help you tune it

besides the reasoning behind not spraying before 3k rpm is cause of the massive amount of tourque it will make down low (can you say bent rods)
