Default what bout 1.8t

i was also lookin at the 1.8s but they looked pretty good but i still like the vr6 for the horse but unever can pass up a good turbo but whats better overall for the car would it be better with turbo or super charger

1.8t is cheaper to mod and more bang for your buck.

VR6 has good stock performance, and sounds like chewbacca

they both will have good power, but you have to wait for a turbo to spool up and with the vr6 you will always have power

correct, but spend $450 on the APR chip for 1.8t and smoke a stock VR6

Not the same thing. A chip for a VR6 gains about 5hp MAX, which is just by changing timing and a few other variables. 1.8T chips turn up the boost along with other items to get alot more power.

And if you go with a chip for a VR6, go with GIAC. I've never heard too many good things about AMS.

well im mainly going on experience. i have 2 friends with vr6s and they both have the ams chip. 1 is a 95 jetta with a custom intake and a muffler that pulled a 14.7 and the other is a 95 gti with just an intake that pulled a 14.6

If you don't plan on modding the car go with the vr6, it's much smoother and it's got a bit more power than a 1.8T in stock form. If you are going to mod it go with the 1.8T, it's alot cheaper to get power out of.
