I had heard about the transformers getting shot in California.
Even if you don't get this generator it might be a good idea to get some kind of one.

During Irma I drove to friends in Ocala.
The power went out in their neighborhood.
We couldn't watch the big screen TV for weather reports.
We couldn't cook anything.
We tried to keep the fridge door shut.
Restaurants were all closed.
Gas stations were closed.

I asked why he didn't have a generator.
He said it only happened every 59 years and he wasn't going to get a generator just for that.

I was thinking some bad thoughts about him, and drove back to Tampa as soon as the hurricane was north of us. Places were open as I drove further south.

A few weeks later my attorney was unloading a generator in his driveway.
Florida had not yet restored full power.
That's what caused me to start thinking about one for me.

I've thought about a trip to Home Depot....just to get educated.
