I saw them in the early 80's at Knott's berry farm. It was awesome! Jan was on it with the music. Obviously, a little slower than the others rocking on the stage. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to see and hear them. I was young, only about13 or 14 at the time. I grew up listening to that genre. I remember how mad my parents were when they realized they missed it. Hey! Their fault! They were there too. They couldn't read the line up? Lol!

Anybody who thought that Jan & Dean were nothing more than a surf duo and no staying power was proven very wrong with both "Carnival Of Sound" and "Save For A Rainy Day". I've never head of these 2 albums until tonight. Love them both!!!! As a record collector, I'm now on the lookout for both albums!!!! Thank you for posting this album and keep up the fantastic work!!!!

Unaired TV pilot starring the pop duo as...well...Jan & Dean.

Filmed in 1966, this follows the teen superstars as they study, play concerts and generally dick about.

It's great fun, especially the concert footage and interesting to watch Jan hobble around with a busted foot, an injury he sustained whilst attempting to shoot the movie 'Easy Come, Easy Go'.

Things could have been so different if Jan hadn't been seriously injured in a car crash...
