YouTube - A Day Made of Glass... Made possible by Corning.
If this is what the future holds I deff want to be alive to see it happen !

I guess I'm just over thinking this, but glass has nothing to do with most of the technological advancements I saw in that video... besides being an outdated material. Look at the screen of your computer, is it glass? nope. The screen of your phone? nope.
Corning is a very big company and one of the largest vendor for fiber optics, i know of an inside source from google that tells me this is what google and Corning have been working on for the last three year but as of now only the top 10% of American's will see this Google is doing very big thing behind the seen and this is one of them.
Thats bullshit. NO ONE wakes up that happy, it doesnt matter what your TV & windows are made out of.

Also, watch where she gets a vidya call and drags the video to the touchscreen countertop. Where is there a camera? Who the hell even needs their ENTIRE counter to be touchscreen? I can see the bedroom "TV" but most of the realistic things in that vid are already available to those that know how to acquire it.
The problem is that no one sells a TV that does all that shit, so people just say "ohh well its the future man!"
It also irritates me when people mock up this shit that isnt even possible. A phone that is JUST a pane of glass? NOPE. sorry.
EDIT: btw, its sad that we still do not have a universal way to link up ALL of our devices to eachother. I mean its 2011, why shouldn't we be able to see texts on our Xbox, or easily link our PC to multiple displays in multiple rooms, having a central server for your home, etc. Doesn't it make sense to run all your devices through your home PC? TV recordings, cell phone calls and messaging, video gaming, screens in the living room, bedroom, kitchen, even the bathroom? You all have TVs in your bathroom too, right?

First of all, we are limited greatly in our abilities. I have NEVER seen a translucent screen with no border, no visible electronics, etc, and especially one that includes a multi-touch screen.

Also the phone face is made of glass not the hole phone, the sides were white and the back was clear.
