Now you're talking! That guy posts on www.turboford.org I think. If its the same car I'm thinking of, he recently blew a motor and went into the wall
I'm a big T2.3 guy here. I have a 93 Mustang LX converted to T2.3/T5 that makes 270hp/377tq with mostly stock pieces. I'm just now finishing up a header and downpipe for it and am hoping to pick up a good amount of HP.

SWEET dude, I thought I was the only 2.3T fan around here. My buddy used to have an lx convertible that he swapped the svo motor into, since then I loved them. It was like the difference between night and day once it had a turbo. BTW what is different between the n/t 2.3 and the turbo 2.3? Compression, head, block?

Turbo motors got forged TRW pistons with a dish (8.5:1 instead of like 9.2:1 N/A). Same rods and crank. Same block really, just drilled for the oil return.
Funny story about the blocks, Ford would determine how many blocks of each run they wanted for turbo use. As they came down the line, each block was weighed. The heaviest blocks were pulled off to the side and drilled for the oil return. So technically the blocks might be stronger, but its such a small amount nobody really cares.
The later 89-up heads were dual plug per cylinder. Since 88 was the last year of the turbo motor, no factory turbo motor came with the dual plug setup. There are guys running the dual plug heads with turbo's, but nobody's making big power because the ports are pretty restrictive on the dual plug heads.
