First off, "Agent93" You are a complete idiot. I'd love to see you go into discount auto parts and build a strong V8. I'd even love to see you do it yourself with all the parts ready for you. In that case, how hard is it to turn the boost and fuel up on a turbo car?

You people amaze me with this "anyone can go fast in a straight line" thing. If you guys wouldn't total my car I would put you in the driver's seat and you can show me how easy it is. Sure if you have a slow ass car its easy, but when you have a real car it's a little more challenging.

And to say that a turbo is no factor in comparing power is just rediculous. In that case, don't mind a V8 running a 500 shot of nitrous because you have a turbo. I like all kinds of racing and all types of cars so I was trying to stay out of this, but some of these "points" are just retarded.

here's my point....when the fuck do skidpad numbers mean shit in everyday driving? so
the skyline pulls xxx g's on the skidpad, this doesn't mean shit for 99% of the driving
you'll do. so in other words the only way the skyline is superior to the camaro in
question is on a closed course? is the skyline a more "refined sports car"? yes. do I like
the skyline more than you guys actually think? very.

I think the skyline is a great car but because some trailer park-renowned mullet mobile
kicks it's ass in a straight line that retard in the beginning of the thread has to turn
this into "american cars can't turn/skyline > all/lets flame each" thread. I think (insert
car) from (insert country) with (insert motor) motor beat (insert car) from (insert
country) with (insert motor) motor. nothing more, nothing less. great vid, great cars.

as for you, you fucking suck at life, please end yourself.

yeah I'm sure building high compression, performance tuned motors, completely from scratch is much harder than turning a knob on a boost controller or dialing in a/f ratio and other random performance data on a computer.

what you don't understand is the technology is getting more advanced, but the building aspect is becoming easier, or else the high hp cars of today which would dominate in the "muscle car era" wouldn't be so common.

well last i remeber the video was 2 cars DRAG racing in a ------striaght--- line, so why are curves brought into it....ohh yea cause your all mighty car got walked on and you feel the need to defend it.

btw, how about those 6 sec. N/A skylines, or sti's, or evos ??? soo many of em out there eh. how long did it take just to get an import into the 7's ?? soo when a boosted import can run 4's like some boosted v'8s then you may have an argument i love imports, there fun. but "give credit where credit is due"

IMPORTS RULE THE NHRA !!!

still, american cars suck. any asshole can drive fast in a strait line. i'm not even saying you can't make an american car handle well.............but why would you want to bother, it will just fall apart anyways. and unlike the rest of the people posting i actually know what i'm talking about haveing worked on cars for a living. everyone can be into their own thing, but american cars just aren't put together as well as japanese cars. have you sat in a camaro or mustang lately, it feels like a monkey designed it. my 86 corolla has more interior room, and rattles less than an american car with half the miles. people who talk bad about japanese cars are ignorant and just don't know any better. once you own one you'd understand. you'd have to be stupid to not want the skyline over the camaro.

ok then lets just say this. lets just all agree that domestic cars will win in the straights, almost always. but is that it? it seems so. there arent any american cars in the twistes that hang very well. i guess it is a dumb topic tro argue about, but its somewhat true. american cars just happen to be built well for the track it seems. but how much fun is that? there are a lot of domestic guys at my place of work, and even they admit that the bracket racing or just straight drag is getting boring. and more than one have shown interest in other auto sports. and they know that an american car wouldnt be the first to cross their mind as a car to build for something other than the strip. i guess the thing is, a lot of import guys have a stick up their ass about "proving themselves" to american muscle. and the reality is we cant hang. so theres always pissed off people that cant stand losing. i hate the fact that you can spend 30 grand on a import, and then take a domestic with 10k and smoke it. it just asks the question, why bother putting money into an import? and it hurts to hear that.

lemme get this straight....you're excuse why an american car would fall apart if being built up is because the interior in a camaro isn't as roomy as a family car and rattles?

wow...here's your gold star
