What does a hybrid CV consist of? Theres been a ton of us 1/2 ton guys that want toput the 9.25 in the front but some said it wouldnt bolt up and its obvious that the CVs wouldnt work.

Its not for height, its for strength and the available use of a locker.

 

The cv shaft thy is used is the factory outer joint, the 3/4 ton inner and a new shaft for the required length. The driveshaft is factory but utilizes the 9.25 yoke with a hybrid u-joint.

Shits simple when you do this for a living.

 

Install wasn't really hard. IMO its easier on a lifted truck. It wont fit very well on a stock truck.
