Default Any diesel guys....

Get your truck worked on at South East Power Systems on Adamo? Or is there someone else you might recommend? I have a buddy who needs Studs and Head gaskets installed as well as his EGR deleted, that he has a kit for already, a new oil cooler. Let me know, thanks.

Being I work for a dealer (not ford either) I do it all myself. I also hate anyone working on my junk other then myself, you know it's done right the first time. I'm a bit apprehensive about SEP after they told me there was no way to test Common Rail Injectors. It's not that hard to do head studs to be truthful.

Yeah, This guy I know isnt too handy with a wrench. being that my truck 6.0L Excursion is still under warranty (ESP), I am not gonna mess with them at all either, but I might run my livewire on race tune in hopes to blow the headgaskets in order to get them replaced under warranty, and just throw the tech a couple of hundred bucks for his time. I figured I would do the EGR Delete also and delete the factory uppipe, a lot of us 6.0L guys seem to go that route to extend the longevity of this truck.

MonteCarlo31, you available for some sidework?

Trying to blow the truck up is completely stupid. As soon as the heads come off, and there is white stars on the pistons they know it's had a programmer on it. Call up adam brannen at first coast diesel performance, they do the best work on 6.0's because they are both ford diesel techs AND they have made a FULL EGR delete, which is what I run on my truck and it's awesome.

There are guys on FTE.com that have done it, and from what I know they havent had an issue. I am not familiar with these white stars you are talking about?? I am familiar with FCDP up in Jacksonville. I like his EGR delete kit, but its little expensive being all that it is, which is just a welded intake manifold (closed off EGR). I cant see paying 600.00 just for that. Oh, and its powdercoated. There are guys running full delete kits with new oil coolers that are 500.00 total. Anyway, I dont know if they guy took my advice on who to go to, I personally already will just do the work myself after my ESP expires. I have rebuilt plenty of motors but this being my first diesel, i see it as a challenge and welcome it as such.
