probably going to mini trucker hell for this....

so yea im piss broke right now. all i need is fittings and a LINK set up to bag the truck...so...

2 link time. im hoping some of the guys that have been around the block will chime in and help me out.

i plan on moving the leaf hanger up as far as possible or moving the bars to the inside of the frame so i can run bars about 33 inches long to minimize the wheel arc.

im going to center the wheels when the truck is layed out so when its lifted they push back and dont jam the drive shaft into the tranny.

any HELp would be appreciated. if your just going to tell me im stupid, PM it to me.

kris

i dont really think theres anything wrong with 2 links, ive seen plenty work for many years..i would personaly move the bars inside the frame..but thats just me

Boats N' Hoes 01-10-2009 09:54 AM

yea the bars are going inside the frame, thats how im getting the long bar lengths. from everything i have found the average length is like 29 inches so im hoping the 4-5 extra inches will cut down the arc alot.

What I would do is a mono leaf and bag over axel... I would do this for a while its cheap and will provide good ride quality trust me thats wut I did on my truck til I could afford a 3 link... btw Kris do u still have that grill?

no... I would run a 2 link over a monoleaf anyday. I have had 2 trucks with bags over monos, one with a 4 link, and the current with a 2 link. of course the 4 link was by far the best, but the 2 link is way better in ride quality and stability than the monos. from the description of your plans you seem to understand the flaws in most 2 links, and sounds like what you have planned should work fine. the 2 link on my bodydrop was setup wrong by the previous owner. the front link mounts are too low and the pinion angle is only right when the truck is all the way up, so when I ride low you hear the u-joint binding up
