Default looking for info on 5.7 diesel

ive been looking for a 5.7 diesel to drop in my s-10 and i cant find one no where anyone know any info on geting ahodl of one?

Check with the local automotive scrap yards, like Langston's.
I just picked up a motor from there myself.

Why do you want that motor? What are you going to do with the truck? A Cummins 4bt may be a better choice for you. Cummins 4BT Forums - Powered by vBulletin

im just trying to prove a point that a diesel wont tare my trucks stock frame apart

GM did but it was a dog. They used it in some late 70's early 80's cars. A real motor like a cummins 5.9 or a duramax would tweak your truck pretty good.

Hey i may have a few 5.7 diesel's left in the lower lot they are in 90's trucks i will check monday morning when i go there and let you know then...

It won't tear your frame apart, mainly because it won't run long enough to do any damage.

Put it this way, that motor blew up so often, the official GM warranty fix was to put a gas motor in it.
