Toyota's are nice... but not for 1000...

I'd say XJ or find a decent YJ

(XJ=1984-2002 Jeep Cherokee, YJ=1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler)

i have a 91 s10 2wd with a 350 i'm trying to get rid of. i just want to trade for a stock 2wd 5spd 4cyl reg cab hardbody. i have a project already and cant afford the time or money i want to put in the s10. i'm sure with the right resources it could be made into a 4wd beast. dont know much about 4x4s, i drop trucks not raise them.

91 s10 reg cab with 350/350. holley 650 dbl pumper, comp cam, shift kit, edel intake, full msd ignition. looking to trade for clean early 90's mini. prefer clean stock 5sp 4cyl toyota or nissan. s10 body is good, needs paint and tires(bought from old country dude and has 31s on back) and has no a/c or heat.

this post may be old but i will give my 2 cents. i just bought a 01 4x4 ranger edge v6. i like it but i went with the smaller truck to save on gas WRONG i get like 16mpg around town (stock) and i dont speed, or take off hard. if i had to do it over i would go with a 93-97 ranger much ez'er to lift and swap, or any fullsize truck.(70's model ford lol thats just me.) it makes me mad to know newer full sizes only lose 3mpg over my lil truck

10 minutes in mud 2 hours of cleaning.....ehh....so how many people here have there daily drivrs and they race them, my teggy is dd and how long it takes u to go down 1/4 mile? less than 10 minutes, and people still do it and pay money to fix their cars after they brake and do it again, i thought thats what it was about. My buddy had 2wd jeep 4.0 it was 5speed and he took that thing in so many places, of course he got stock plenty times but the thing still ran with no problems, thats what im looking for now, go on craigslist there is lots of jeeps for under 2000 even under 1000.
