Default Problems!!

Hey guys whats goin on, i got a couple questions...well i have a 93 jeep cherokee and i was driving it about a week ago and i noticed that the clutch felt very easy to push in and then i barely have to let it out to start to move whereas before i had to let it out pretty far to go....and also after i realized it was doin this i decided to change the transmission oil and i drained it and the transmission had tons of metal shavings and i was wondering what could be wrong but then i was gonna fill the transmission with oil again and i CANT GET THE DRAIN PLUG off cause its so damn stripped..do u know of any way i can get it off? oh and do u know what size the fill plug is?? i couldnt figure it out.. thanks

You can't fill it because you can't get the fill plug out right? If the shifter is mounted directly to the trans then you can remove it and fill it with fluid through the hole the shifter goes in.

why would you turn it while it's hot? not sure what type of weld you're doing but if the drain plug is also hot, won't turn.
