Default sierra/silverado question

just purchased an 04' sierra 2wd and I would like to make it the same height as the z71's. Which lift (amount) should I use. Or should I try some good gas shocks first to see the height increase? Will "just" shocks raise the truck?

I'm sure people will chime in and say don't lift a 2wd truck but hey, different strokes for different folks.

Shocks won't do it, The cheapest solution would be a body lift. I would say you probably need a 3 inch body lift. Even then you may not be high enough. Suspention lift would be next but I don't know what kind of options are out there for 2wd's.

I do believe the smallest suspension lift for the 2wd is about 4". the rear is easy to lift the front is a little trickier. If you trust them you can use a 1" coil spacer

2 inch body will give you the same look, but a 3-4 inch suspension lift will be cheaper, however, I don't think 2WD's need to be lifted...

How do you figure a suspention lift is cheaper? YOu can buy a body lift for a hundred bux.

well u could do lift spindles in the front, longer travel shocks, and blocks in the rear. i would stay away from a body lift if i were u. theres really nothin wrong with them, its just a suspension would be worth the extra little money spent.

Just do this - http://www.acmetruckparts.com/products/76039_300.htm Then put a 1" or so block in the back. These also come in a 1.5" and 2"
