cranking up the torsion bars will level it but it puts alot fo stress on the bars and u run a greater risk of breaking them. but i have a freind that cranked his torsion bars on his 97 f-150 like 2 years ago and he has had no problems.

yep...thats it crank them but.....jack the front end up to take the stree off the suspension. My 03 is cranked, it rides stiff (not sure if that is the the rancos on the FX4 or what) but thats it.

probably the ranchos help a little on the stiffness, i wanted an fx4 but man they are hard to find in white..............

so i ended up with a 4door lariat fully loaded 4x4 instead, but i am happy.

i wanna get some 33s on her soon, i am dying to hook her up

errr....leveling springs only work on the 04s, not the 03s and before. They use bars. Yeah I'd have liked white but got black instead.

See I was goign to do it but I ratehr spend the extra $ instead of breaking something. I am trying to find leveling springs for mine right now that won't cost me an arm and a leg.

There are NO SPRINGS on a 97 to 03 4wd F150, sorry, if you believe there are you are wrong. Cranking the bars only causes a change in CV angle if you keep it within specs (see FSM) you will be fine. Secondly a leveling kit (spacers for you 04s) are dirt cheap and work fine, jeep owners have been using them for years in much more stressful situations then the F150 will be placed in.
