Im about to get the swap done within the next week or so I cant wait! Make sure you either buy a rear clip of a mr2 or buy a motor with everything you need:wiring harness ecu axles etc. I second marks car that ish is fast! Look on www.xcars.com or www.mr2faq.com there are usually 3sgtes on there I bought mine from Xcars.

Basically I want to pull of a cheap nasty non turbo model. Use the rest of my cash to swap in a nice engine and work on the exterior/suspension. I only have 8000 to work with though. I need some names of some swap places so I can plan things out wisely.

Heh thanks for the compliments guys. Dont expect to pay any less than $1k for labor on a swap not legos like hondas here folks You are gonna have to do some penny pinching to make it happen with only $8k. I think with $10k you could pull it off and have a little money for suspension. Look for an old ass 91 with 8 million miles on it but just inspect it to make sure it was not abused or you will be paying for that in the future toyota parts are expensive. A 3SGTE swap will run you at the very least $2k +

Do you know of anybody locally that I could talk to about it? I need to contact some shops and such to get pricing.

First I gotta figure out if I can do it. I have 8000 to work with. I might be able to squeeze a little more money out of stocks but I do need to cover my tuition. If I cant pull off the MR2 with swap I will try another car. There is a turbo one in Brandon right now for 6500. 90k miles but Id rather have a jspec swap with lower miles.

$6500 is a good deal and will cause you a lot less frustration. When you buy the already turboed MR2 you get bigger breaks possible ABS leather etc.
