i just got a free corolla fx16 today and im wondering what you guys know about this car pros/cons. i know the 4age is a good little engine but wondering how far i can take it?

dohc 1.6 sorry though its not the 20v which sucks but i was looking around and they are stupid cheap compared to the swap i bought for my crx. thanks mang

 

i kno a couple of guys that build the 4agze engine and they say they are fast as hell

 

that car is the shit how did you get it gor free. since its a GTS you got rear discs and since the rotors are the same as an AE86 you can do the same brake upgrades. you just need to search up and oyu will see wuit you need to do

 

a friend from work said i can have it it was just sitting around the shop taking up space. i want to do a 20v swap and manual conversion. its an automatic right now

 

im doing the 20v swap right now, in my ae86, but if i were u go with the bt 20v not the st20v.

 

whats the difference?

 

the bt comes with fully balenced motor, 11:1 compression, higher lift and duration cams, u can run open itbs with no problem more power port and polish head factory, its basically the type r of 4age. the st doesnt have all this but supposidly it has a stronger bottom end, and to run open itb u have to get some sensors and tune becuase it will bog jump idle and run like shit
