Default anyone know anything about AC?

one speed of my AC fan is the only one that works. there's no low to high anymore. and then yesterday, my AC fan shut down completely for a couple minutes and then started back up to the one speed. I stopped by an AC place today and the guy said it was probably a fan switch but couldnt say for sure. they were busy and nobody was available to take a look at it. it blows cold air just fine when the fan is on. anyone have any idea?

if it helps, I got a flip out tv installed right around the same time frame. it was by a reputable shop in town so I'm pretty sure that's not the issue, but I'm not ruling out the possibility.

car is a 98 Lexus GS300

Sounds like my supra. Only my high works i can hit Low and Med and it will kick on and everything like its suppose to but no air blows. If I hit High its will crank out cold air no problem. Once ya figure it out let me know what it is. Not really that big of a deal to me so I havent even bothered to see what it could be.

It may be the toyota a/c compressor!!! If so, you need to replace a/c compressor clutch and stator and then evaluate and recharge.

check your a/c fan connections, i think they may be under the battery or somewhere around there. i highly doubt it would be the compressor
