are the new corolla engines strong? If taken care of properly how long will they last about? The new '04 corollas I know somebody that is getting one.

all toyota engines will run forever if u take care of em. my dads camry has 278,000 and its still runnin great.

 

the 1zzfe isn't the best motor that Toyota's ever made, but it's reliable if you don't rag it too much.

 

1zzfe is very strong motor for being made of alluminum, been takin up to 17psi on stock internals before on an MR-S, it only ran for 1 1/4 run but it ran an 11.8!, the valve train is the weak point, DO NOT OVER REV IT, i found this out the hard way.

 

i got a 04 corolla ce,i dont no much about the engine cep my friend has a 03 and sprays a 75 shot like 5 times and week and it has 60k on it .TRD has a supercharger out for it

 

2004 Corollas will have a XRS model out which will be available with the 2zzge motor found in the Celica GTS and Matrix XRS. 180 hp stock. It's a nice motor if you plan to keep it stock. I just dislike the look of the "bubbly" looking 03-04 models.

 

really so they are finally making a more potent corolla out that is good to know something to compete with the se-r.....
