Just bought an 86 Corolla Gt-s. But it just threw a rod. Was doing 125mph and with 240k on motor it got mad at me.
I would like to purchase an engine if I can't find one I'm going to sell the car.

any help would be great.

You want a Bluetop or Smallport ?

4AG's are teh easiest motors in the world to find .

How much you want to spend on it ? I'll get you one .

 

125mph? i dont think i ever took mine over 110 and that was really revving it out i dont have a working speedo but seems like 125 would be barried past redline.

cophers has them all the time for $100 a pc. but you got to pull it yer self.

 

ive got a good head and a block that needs a little work

I can't believe stock 4ag runs at 125mph. mine was going 100mph

 

I just want a stock, cheap, good running motor for a direct replacement. Need a price.

they are super expensive for RWD 86's... youre better off selling it to me

actually, 4AG's are like super mega common... relatively speaking. should be no problem.

call up magic auto parts here in Tampa... they specialize in imports... id assume they have something for you.

 

4ag's are super super commen, almost as commen as 305's they came in 3 or 4 diffrent cars. even non toyotas (Geo Storm)

Cophers in St pete has a few of them on any bad day.

get the Geo / Fx16(some)* red top motor, its higher compession and little better flowing head.

*FX16's come with both the blue top and red top.

 

4AGs rule. especialy the 4agZe.
