Almost a decade ago, I came to FL to attend to college. At the time I had a 92 Honda Prelude. I wanted to "fix" my daily driver since it was all I could afford. I went online and the very first forum I found was TampaRacing. I registered in a heart beat. My favorite section was the "Photography and Graphics" since my major was graphic design. After looking at some amazing photos of cars, projects, and DIY's, I would feed myself information to modify my car and buy my very first pars. Thanks to the wisdom I acquire in this forum I went from lowering my car to doing a full drivetrain swap from a mechanic shop I found here.

SenorHonda, was one of the members I had the opportunity to meet in person. Whom performed a free professionally done camber check on my car for cero dollars. Surprisingly he is still around on this forum in charge of the site, which takes me to my main question. What happened to this forum? It seems that it started slowing down by the end of 2012?

I'm assuming, most people like myself have moved on. For instance I sold my Honda Prelude to buy a family car. I didn't have the extra money to mess around and buy parts. Therefore I stopped visiting the forum. But this couldn't make the forum go downhill? I know for a fact that it was purchased by new owners either before, during, or after it went downhill.

I'm still around because the Tampa Car Scene is still covered by Tampa Racing .
People did move on. Back then I worked on cheap Hondas, etc and treated people with respect
regardless of what some 17 year olds were claiming while calling me a troll. These days the people I treated with respect have real jobs and are in the establishment and bring me more expensive cars like Mercedes, BMW, Porsche and recently a WRX STI.

People know who I am. NO ONE remembers the 17 year old jerks. As for the 17 year olds, when
they no longer could drive people away from Tampa Racing , while claiming that they were doing all
they could to save Tampa Racing , they were starting their own website. The good news is, when the
jerks left Tampa Racing, they took their jerk buddies with them! LOL

Word on the street is that their two most popular threads on their own site are what they don't like
about Tampa Racing and whatever they can make up about me. When they left, they had placed
mentions all over Tampa Racing advertising their own site. Most have been found and removed.
Some of the jerks still come back over to poop on Tampa Racing , but people are joining Tampa Racing.

As of March 21 2015, Since 21 August 2014 to March 21 2015, 454 people have joined Tampa Racing .
I could go back even further than 21 August, but we are posting the kinds of things that people want to read. and Tampa Racing is growing. That's my point. Tampa Racing.com has 102,000+ members-Bob

Tampa Racing is open for all to read, but some other site requires you to join the site

When people came to TampaRacing.com from another site to recruit people to their site by maintaining dual memberships, and cussing, and threatening, and insulting the members of TampaRacing.com as people from another site were posting their link to their site on TampaRacing.com , those people were not allowed to continue posting.
Most of the links to their site have been found and removed.

TampaRacing.com does not go to someone else's site and cuss, threaten and insult members to recruit anyone to TampaRacing.com. In the last year TampaRacing.com went from 101,000+ members to 102,000+ members.

If people from some other site wanted to continue their bad behavior, they should have done so on their own site instead of on TampaRacing.com . TampaRacing.com has national sponsors who don't want sponsors customers coming to TampaRacing.com and seeing 17 year olds cussing and acting like buttheads on TampaRacing.com .

Drama is no longer appreciated on TampaRacing.com . Take the drama to some other site.

If people got upset by the way they were treated by former moderators and left, sometimes their posts, etc.
also left. At one time members of some other site were advocating that former members of TampaRacing.com
come back to TampaRacing.com and delete what they had posted on TampaRacing.com back when they were members. Some of those same people came back later to TampaRacing.com and complained about posts being deleted.

The people who you say the overhaul wiped out could have re-registered and re-installed their stuff.
They could have changed their attitude about destroying TampaRacing.com .
They could have pm'ed me and I would have looked into it.

If it can be said that TampaRacing.com gaining approximately 1,000+ members after some former moderators and buttheads left TampaRacing.com is "ruining" a website, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It is a fact that hundreds of people come to TampaRacing every night to read the forums. That number can be compared to however-many some other website has, reading some other website at any given time. If anyone wants to see a few more facts about TampaRacing.com , look here:

Most of what you guys have mentioned it's true. My personal opinion has leaned towards technology. As I am struggling typing this message on my Win8 PC, because it is lagging as I type. TR mobile version isn't any better... To say that this entire forum needs to be refresh it's an understatement. I'm not only talking about a new forum, a mobile version and let's call it a day. I mean a YouTube channel with car news/car reviews/parts reviews, more social media involvement(Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+)

I may be exaggerating, but that was the hope I had right after I joined the site. I even though of volunteering or doing an internship if one day TR would be the main car enthusiast source in the state of FL.

I know what you mean. I joined in 2005. The Tampa Car Scene has changed.
My Win8 seems to keep up pretty good. Maybe I type slow... lol
