Default Replacement radiators

The stock radiator in my '98 Forester (ej25) has finally failed.

I'm going junkyard shopping for a replacement--are there any other models who's radiators will bolt up, or should I look for Foresters only?

Subaru radiators are weak bud. Invest the money and get something lik Gimmick Motorsports. Welded aluminum will always be better than plastic

Physics must not have been a strong subject in highschool. Lets weight the strengh compositions of cheap plastic vs aluminum

Plastic - a cheap, brittle, man made material that is often substituted for metal in order to cut weight, cut costs and possible shed weight in vehicles in order to increase MPG

Aluminum - first of all, an element. Not mad made. Very durable, maleable and most definitely strong. Often used to create engine blocks, and various other components, such as jet engine temperature sensors.

Call me an idiot, but from the above description it seems that aluminum would be a better alternative for just a little extra cash . Not to mention the fact that 600+ whp has absolutely nothing to do with your radiator. Yes sure, the engine block will run 10-15* hotter, but not enought to make any significant different. Quality over price. You can go ahead and buy another shitty OEM radiator thats made out of plastic and held together by metal brakets, or you can buy a durable Koyo, or Mishimoto and forget about ever hanvin to change another raditor for litelarly 50 bucks more.

Honestly, I would go with a Mishimoto. They're covered with a lifetime warranty. Even in the case of an accident and they will replace them with little to no BS as long as you have a police report. Can't beat that.
