difference between STi and WRX engines?
for recent US spec engines. where can i get a cheap us spec wrx complete swap and will it bolt into a 1st gen awd legacy?
thanks. |
somebody else will have to chime in about the leggy fitment, but the differences are heads, intake mani, pistons, rods & cams, turbo, uppipe, throttle (depending on the year), top mount i/c... I'm probably forgetting something big, lol... I'm tired.
call (941) 879-7209 and I can point you in a good direction for that motor :) |
im pretty sure the intamke manifold is the same as an STI, just not painted red.

A GT28 is a decent step but for the power to money ratio, it cost way to much. You can spend less on a 18g and make the same amount of power. |
i recently found that out, apparently you have to clock the turbo as well, im not doing that shit. i think ill go 18g or 20g with other basic mods.

hey on my 2000 LGT im runnin a 03 wrx ej20 mated to a 06 impreza 2.5i tranny, my car been runnin like a champ since december of 07 :D as for making cheap power u can make at least 240-250 whp with a decent romraider or opensource reflash and bolt ons on a stock TD04 turbo.
