Needed: Local shop to Port n Polish Exhaust Manifold

I'm looking for a local shop that can gasket match, port n polish, stock cast iron exhaust manifold. I would love to do it myself, but do not have the correct tools for extruding cast iron.

Any help is appreciated.

call herb yancer at competitive edge in Sarasota, tell him Frank told you to call.

Thanks.

Anyone closer to Tampa area? Just need a machine shop that can port match the gaskets on a cast iron manifold.

not to mess up your plans but, I had ported manifolds once... then went to a tubular header. big improvement in driveability and power.

I would like to stay with the stock cast iron manny for heat transfer with no risk of cracking. I already went through two cracked aftermarket tubular headers on my last Suby. Plus, you can get similar gains for a lot less money with ported stockers.

true...the stockers are much more reliable. I forgot I chase leaks all day with my headers

Have you looked into grimmspeed. They arent local but they do a core exchange program once you send in your stockers. I've read good things about them on nasioc and they seem to be reasonably priced...

Yes, I have checked them out, but would like to patronize a local shop. Freight back and forth is roughly $40 due to the weight of the manifold.

Bump for a good machine shop locally.
