Default Kickin' it old school.

So I picked up a '93 super sport (RS Turbo elsewhere in the world) a few months ago. I actually went to a rally the first month I had the car. Haha, I have pictures at the rally with the temp tag on the back

I figured I'd throw up afew pics and see what you new subaru guys think of the precursor to the WRX! The engine is an EJ22T with single cam heads, and a closed deck block. From what I've heard it has a forged bottom end as well, but I'm not sure. Its not crazy fast, but it is relatively quick for having spent under $3k on it.

Mods (with pricing):
1993 Legacy Turbo - $1500
BBS wheels and tires ( 16x7 +48 ) - $1000
Tanabe Sustec BC5 springs - $150
WRX intercooler - $75
STI axleback exhaust - $75
Autometer boost gauge - $50
eBay MBC - $10

My other car is an e46 m3

same bbs wheels. in a slightly larger size

OH. and if anyone has a used WRX steering wheel I would love to buy it! The one thing that bugs me about the car is the ratty steering wheel thats falling apart. A stock WRX CD player would be cool too. I eventually plan to run a VF39 and maybe a front mount...

just from casual observation, it appears to be a subaru 5 speed. box looks the same as a wrx box. other people have run RA gears in it, so i suppose that means its the same internally too... this chassis shares ALOT with the jdm gc8 imprezas. suspension and engine bay are nearly identical.

If you are intrested I have a Full 5 speed transmission from a 2001 Impreza 2.4RS in my garage. Third grinds a little and 4th wont stay in, but I also have thoose gears (new). I also have an extra Diff.

Would be perfect for doing a trans build out of the car then swap in. Let me know if you are intrested.

when i break this one i will be interested! haha.

this tranny actually works flawlessly at the moment! 15psi on a turbo the size of my fist can't be making too much hp.

I also need a stock Stereo for my 2.5RS (any subaru radio will work). So if you guys have an extra let me know.
