I've tuned almost 600 Subaru's. Doug has probably tuned over 700 Subaru's. In all those combined neither of us have seen a "tune-caused" head-gasket leak.

EVERY head-gasket leak on a Subaru that we've seen has been from improper assembly when putting head-studs on it.

Rather than everybody "guessing" what caused the head-gasket, somebody should ask Gadiel what HE thinks caused it, because I'm pretty sure HE isn't going to say my tuning...

The car certainly was not running 9.9:1 afr when I tuned it.

wow that sucks man, hope everything works out well.

everyone needs to keep in mind, every car, and especially ever engine, is unique and has its own quirks, and so when tuning it, many things COULD go wrong because when tuning it, they have to do so under the assumption that all motors are essentially the same.

My car still hasn't exploded, so I'm thankfull that tuners aren't always right, LOL. When getting nitrous installed I was told my engine would be dead within a month of two, well she's still kickin' for now regardless the whole idea was to kill the motor to begin with

do you have an aftermarket WB02 sensor that was possibly installed incorrectly, or maybe the WB02 that was used to tune was out of calibration. <shrug> just some afterthoughts

and this is why tuners lose business. Tuner bashing...Im just waiting to see the size of the lynch mob that will be after someone for bashing Snowmann. LOL!!! There is no point in bashing shops/tuners. Its a proven fact that 1. We are human and NOT PERFECT!. 2. Shit happens to cars on the dyno all the time. 3. And even after a perfect tune on the dyno or road tune, when its all said and done with and your going home for the day something could go wrong. I wish people would just stop doing this shit.

I highly doubt that any tuner would want to leave the car running 9.9afrs .

sound almost like the meth pump started to pump more after the scott tune. since more meth would make the afrs go low as in 9.9 low and also cause the cylinder pressure to increase causing more possiblity to blow the headgasket.

many different things could have change since the last time the car was tuned.

just my .02
