i have a question on tuning and what program to use. I am a Honda person but i just got a co-work into the whole racing scene. he has a 07 wrx with an aem intake, quicktime 3" down pipe and a greddy profec b boost controller. I told him that he needs to get it tuned if he want to run higher boost. I would like to know what to use and who to take it to?

unibomber is someone on a nother forum if he gets an accessport you can download maps and flash them yourself thats the whole point of one or you can have someone like scott siegel tune it but its cheaper to just buy the port and do it yourself

 

so it is it something that a person can do if they have a good back ground on working on cars? and what about the tuning?

I wouldn't suggest trying to tune tourself if you never had. Doesn't matter how mechanically savvy you are, tuning is a whole different animal. Just PM snowmann or read on Nasioc.com and get educated first. Cobb, Ecutek, and Utec are some of the most popular EM's for our cars

 

Or have them call me. The '07 ECU is WAY different than anything before it. Much of it is "algorithm based" not "look-up table" based.
