Default Uppipe installation help

I am actually installing the uppipe and full turbo back.
I feel ok doing the turboback but after reading all the threads about the uppipe I became a little nervous. What is everyone's experience with it and what way did you take it out, from underneath or above. I cant decide which route to go. I am going to buy both uppipe gaskets and a downpipe gasket. Are there any other ones I should get for the install.

The rest of my parts should be comming in the mail within a week or so. It would be cool if someone with experience could help out. That would also be a good way for me to meet some people from here.

Thanks for any help guys

Shaun

i swore to god i would never do another up pipe install after participating in a few of them. I would just pay someone to do it just to make your life easier lol, i think racing zone installs them for like 40 bucks or something like that and they have it done rediculously fast

hey angel, you help a buddy of mine out sherard putting in his vf34 setup, intercooler, TB and other things
Any words of wisdom when I get started.

Where is racing zone and do you happen to have a number for them. I rather do it myslef so I can learn more about the car and get the DIY good felling. But $40 is a good price.

it's really not that hard. i usually take it out from the top. less time under the car, and you'll already be taking everything off anyways to put on the exhaust. don't be intimidated by it. if you want a hand let me know.

I took mine out from the bottom. Have to jack up that side of the engine to do it though. Fat angel, taking it out through the top, did you pull the turbo?

Just be careful, whichever way you pull it out, not to bust the oil seal on the back of the engine. Its a little half-circle type of thing that can become damaged if you whack it with the pipe.
