Road Trip (need help)

My bestfriend and I are itchign to go out on a road trip. We want to leave Friday July 21st around 4-5pm and we need to be back into tamp by Sunday night.
We will be taking my WRX because his RS has to many miles
We were going to meet some friends in gainesville to hit some dirtroads up but that fell through. So we are lookign for soemthign that isnt an 8+ hour drive and would be somethign cool to do with your Subaru.
Any ideas? Any gatherings coming up? Where ever we go we will just get a hotel room in the area and stay there till we leave.
Before everyone jumps on the "OMG goto the dragon" idea. I have been there quite a few times and I love the place, but I can honestly say its just not enough time.

P.S.
If any other Tampa locals are intrested in the idea and want to join us in the hijinks (if they ever happen) maybe we coudl do a caravan to something.

There a few good roads around here if you know where to look. I am speaking from my motorcycle group rides that I do every weekend. We usually hit brooksville and the clearmonte area. These are mainly paved roads that twist all around lakes. I have seen a few dirt roads, but i haven't gone down any of them for obvious reasons. These roads don't really compare to the dragon (ran that about 9 times), but you don't have to spend 8 hrs. getting there.

I thought there was a rally school up around the Ocala area. Maybe look into that.

Thats sounds nice. But I am looking to go someplace where this also somethign else to do, like some nice restaurants to try and what not. Plus I dont know anyone that knows the area, so it would suck driving around for 6 hours and not find any road that would be fun to drive on.
