NASA Sebring - June 17 and 18
Heh, no kidding. New Front (stoptech) and back (brembo) rotors, front and rear Hawk HT-10 pads, new set of Re070 (funnest tire)... to name a few.
This set of pads didn't last long at Sebring, notice the tapering - if you trail brake on the 2004 STI this is what you get if you aren't careful:

Those were cobalt GT, A hybrid pad that is equivalent to the Ferodo 2500 that I was trying out. They are a great autocross pad I guess because they have a lot of cold initial bite and good torque... but they won't take the heat from a track day.

So I guess nobody on the forums is going to driving? Car is ready, I've got the Hawk DST-70 in front (400-1600F), HT-10 in rear, fresh Motul, and steel braided lines, new (stoptech) rotors front and (brembo) rear. New tires.
Leaving for Sebring this morning 5:00 am, 120 miles to the track, then another 300 on the track, then 120 miles back.

The pads held, but I blew the front rotors on Sunday afternoon - again. I took it easy on Saturday, but went out pretty hard on Sunday. When my tires would die, I'd resort to AWD rally technics - not good for brakes. Sebring is trully a great track.
For those who go in the future, here are some notes/numbers for reference:
A fast safe cruising pace is around 2:40 with the subie - could last 4 laps, then you'd have to cool down for a lap before going at it 3-4 laps again.
With a 2:45 pace, you could last the whole session without any brake/tire issue at all.
At 2:32 pace, you will blow/overheat front rotors in 3 laps - big cracks and terminal glazing. Need brake ducts mandatory.
14 gallons of gas lasted 70 miles on track. ~5mpg - not quite enough for two 25 minute session - put gas after every session. Carry an extra 5 gallon jar of gas.
That is about it.
