Default Street tunes vs. dyno tunes?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?

I'm trying to decide which to go for. I live in N. FLA, so I can either go to ATL for a dyno turn or come to Tampa for a street tune. Same distance drive to each city. The dyno tune would likely turn out to be more expensive for me though. My parents still live in Tampa so I can stay with for the time I come down, and the tuning rates are a bit cheaper.

DO you drive a dyno every day?

Dyno is great for bragging rights, and thats about it. You drive your car on the street, and I beleive you tune on the street.

It is best to do both...if you can....Get the dyno tune....then if the tuner really knows what he's doing he will take you out on the street for fine tuning.

hell, like you said UK, dynos are just for braggin rights. If you are doin some big turbo and want to see the best possible numbers, sure, the dyno is good. BUT, if you are getting tuned with stock parts and some bolt ons, i would just worry about the street tune b/c that will be were you drive all the time. I've had 2 street tunes and loved both of them. What are you having done to your car? What mods do you have already??

VF34 setup. I want to retune the street map and try to get quicker spool characteristics, along with a c16 map.

Any tuners coming in the next couple months?

call scott siegel. His number is 403-388-8751. He is an awesome tuner. I've had 2 tunes, both by different people. The best one, so far, is scott. I'll probably be getting all my stuff tuned by him. hit him up and see when he is comin next.
