STi Stalling at every light..help????

First off the car is bone stock. It was running fine, I had to take the battery out for a minute, put it back in and the car starts fine. At the first stop the car stalls, start it back up and it runs fine. Next stop it stalls again, no it's anytime I stop the car stalls. If I keep the rpm up for a min. and then let off the gas it's okay. I can't find any hoses or anything out of the ordinary. Any idea's??

Weird. Completely stock? not even a Blow off valve?
Check the recirculating hose from the Blow-off valve back to the intake. If it is not connected, or it is leaking, it could cause this condition.

If not I have no clues....

sounds like your intercooler hose seal is broken. check to see if that is conected. then i would check your vaccum lines.

Sorry I forgot to mention the blow off valve. It is stock but is blocked off so it does not recirculate. It all looks okay, but I will check all the lines again.

Put the stock blow-off valve back on and see what happens ;)

I would but this is the way I got the car. It's all on there other than the part the hooks back into the intake, it just has a plug in that hose right now. It seems to be getting better but it still does it.

But the Blow off valve doesn't have the little elbow on the end. It sounds cool but it will do this every time unless it is hooked up. Try to find a radiator hose that is the same size, and hook it up, this will more than likely solve your problem. Or buy an aftermarket BOV. I used both a greddy type-S and a Turbo XS with no idle problems, but as soon as I tried the factory one with an open pipe, it started doing the same thing, back when the car was stock.

If you can keep it reved up it should stay on, but how annoying would that be at every stop.

Yeah thats exactly what it's doing. I thought that would make it run bad, but it's been okay until yesterday. I remember we tried it on a GST years ago and it did the same thing, but I'm new to the scoobs. Well thanks for the help :)

I would guess the problem is vaccum or intercoller hose or a problem with the MAF.

Have you molested the air intake assembly recently (MAF)? No CELs?

I had the air filter out of it for a minute with the car running, but did not mess with the MAF at all. Would that cause this?
