My 4th gear started grinding today. i've heard this is a very common prob, i guess its normally the synchro. Curious if anyone on the board has had this problem and if there are any simple cures or whatnot. Car only has 28,500 miles on it, and i don't drive like an idiot. Thanks for the help.

get the tranny flushed and see if any metal bits come out. I've heard using, I think it is, Royal Purple helped many ppl out with grinding issues.

 

mine went away completely with royal purple not necessarily cheap shit, but worked great for me!

 

also double clutch and rev match, remember there was a time before synchros
