I sold my 05 zx6r 636 for an 06 ZX-14, i was going to buy a new one but i got this one at such a good price with only 960 miles on, owned by a rich guy who kept it parked in his living room as a show piece (next to the old sting ray vet, and 427 shelby cobra - all 3 red, and thats just in his living room)

He put a full 2 bro's carbon fiber exhaust on it and lowed it like an inch.. i need to find a shop that knows their shit about these bike, i want to raise mine back up (it has the adjustable rear things under it), also i here taking out the flies on these bikes - i don't know what they are yet - will give it better lower end power, aslo i want to replace the rear sprocket with a larger one i want it to be faster in lower rpms..

i also plan to:
1. install 10k HID's
2. tinted windshield and matching blinkers and tail lights..
3. get it tuned with the exhaust and removal or the flies or whatever i have to do..

Replacing the rear sprocket with a bigger one, and raising it back up? WTF? You won't be faster, cuz you won't be able to keep it down. If you want to go faster, stretch it, and then you'll be sacrificing your cornering ability, but I'm sure you expected that when you bought it, right? And yes, taking out the secondary throttle butterfly valves...I believe that was a good thing...

i'm not looking to race it, i just want it to have more power during lower rpm's, from what i here its a heavier bike and its not going to wheelie as easy as you are implying, and feel free to keep your jerk ass comments to yourself, this isn't a bogus thread i just want to hear from anyone who know about the shit i'm asking about

Ya know man I gave you the benifit of the doubt to begin with when everyone was bashing you....

But you truely are a ignorant squid... You obviously know jack shit about bikes for one, removing the secondary throttle bodys will make the bike run like shit in the lower rpms and reduce streetability. Thats why their there...

"I want to put a larger sprocket I want to be faster in lower RPM's" fuckin excuse me? larger sprocket will give more torque and sacrafic speed, Faster in lower RPM's is a smaller sprocket.

You want to remove shit that you have no idea what it does... And theres a good fuckn reason a zx14 came with a 530 chain, the motor puts out torque... Much more then a 600... Why the hell would you want to put a 520 on....

Do TR a favor and the rest of the human race and do your research before you open your fuckn mouth. And learn some mechanical knowledge while your at it.

you guys really make me laugh, what i want to do to my bike is what I want to do to it, so hate if you want HATERS.. i have been riding for like 6 months. i don't have all the answers THATS WHY I ASKED.. but i should have know al i would get is a bunch of ,thinking they know it all replies..

and as far as i know when you replaced the sprockets you had to go to 520.. my bad and i only was planing on going 1-3 teeth up in the rear not like 7 or 8..

if you haven't even rode the 14 or worked on, then don't add your bit of ignorance jameson/saywhaa

im going to add my small amount of expertise on bikes in general...as well as knowledge of people that have responded.

mixer mike...has owned a zx-14 before he deployed himself to go play with his dick and camel spiders.

saywhaa has been around enough to understand....at least a good 50% more than you have been able to obtain here in your short stent as bike tech n00b.

j@meson is one of our original members and his expertise should be listened to...he KNOWS what he is talking about.

Now...

if youre looking for zx-14 specific stuff...if it isnt under that let me google that for you link...you need to google zx-14 specific boards or kawi boards in general...as the help you may receive will be much better and faster than what you may get here.

As far as you saying it wont wheelie...well...you havent opened it the fuck up yet.

it is lowered for a reason....and the guy was smart on that aspect.

go to the track and look at those bikes...they are powerful bikes...they are strapped down...lowered...and extended. They need to do that to prevent the wheelie...if you want faster in lower rpms...as stated you need to pay attention to the kawi forums...do a little research...and figure out whats best for YOU

a 520 chain is not as heavy duty as say the 530.

a 1.4 litre engine...will put out a shit ton of power compared to a 600cc.

take a shoe string...and try and pull a car with it...it will snap....the string cannot handle the pressure exerted on it.

now take an actual tow rope and do the same thing...it will not snap as its intended for such purpose.

think the same way with the chain...you need something that will need to be able to withstand.

You need to pony up and start taking the heat when asking stupid things.

9 times out of 10 stupid questions get met with stupid answers....the fuck did you think you were gonna get for a reply when you type in all red and try and make sense of stuff you dont understand....

its like trying to justify why you fuck a fat chick....in the end...its wrong...no matter how you look at it.

Take it like a champ and figure it out.

All in all just ride safe and dont be a dipshit squid on a 1400....your 636 could kill you...this bike will kill you...and anyone else in its way...this is a big step up and you need to play it smart.

Youre and adult so im sure you can tell the difference between a good choice and a horrible choice...
