4 weeks, 1jz, BN sports, volks, big single, cage, etc
alright guys. were looking at 4 weeks to finish this car. weve had an issue getting the front bumper for the BN sports kit in hopefully that pans out in time. lots of parts ordered, lots sitting around. heres current pictures. tonight marks the first day of the project. will keep you guys updated
this will be the first JAP WORKS/JJC/ Cars Royal (whatever our name is tomorrow) project car, more to follow (look for a built turbo V6 MR2 in the spring)
PARTS LIST
ENGINE
-1jzgte
-hybrid T04R turbo with 69MM k30 compressor wheel (charlie @ evergreen turbo)
-780cc precision top feeds
-mvp top feed rail
-driftmotion alum underdrive pullies
-ebay mani, header wrapped
-stock IM for now, got a Q45 throttle body, havent built a new intake manifold for it yet
- MAP ECU
- USDM 2jz cams machined to fit the 1jz
- W58 tranns i will blow up many many times
- ACT extreme pressure plate
- HPF bronze clutch disk
- ARP head bolts, flywheel bolts
- dual walbro in tank pumps, custom built hanger for said pumps
BODY
- origin tails (no tint)
- triple projectors
- EBAY GTR grill (what can i say i'm cheap)
- (still need to locate a hood)
- S14 silvia grill (i like it better, STFU if you dont like it)
- BN sports widebody kit, sil front
- will be building a carbon trunk for the car, in house, will be selling them later
INTERIOR
-(not done) suede... EVERYWHERE
- personal Wheel, sent out to be done in suede as well,
- cusco hub
- SC300 gauges i need to make work
-ROLLERS, STOPPERS, RUNNIGN GEAR
-18x13 -15, 18x11 -1 volk victrix, low disk.
- 275/40r18, 235/40R18 (yes, the rears are 2 quarter fitment)
- Z brakes in front, slotted, crossdrilled
-(not done) modded front spindles for 35423423* of angle
- J30 diff
- one piece driveshaft
- coilovers of some non japaneese brand lol

- INSTALLED s14 REAR 5 LUG, redrilled front hubs for 5 lug
- test fitted widebody kit
- pulled W58 out of my ma70

nice build , but like you know that w58 tranny is not gonna last long (hard launch bye bye tranny ) I give it two weeks top.

+1, you should reconsider your tranny choice, do it right the first time. with all the W58's you end up blowing up, your going to be able to afford an r154.

i'm not a big fan of the purple lips, but the wheels are kinda dope... i remember this car being for sale on here a while back. you should think about reinforcing that cage a bit better...
over all, it's coming together nicely, and looks like the end result will be pretty sweet if you keep it simple, GL!!!

the cage will be modified some, but keep in mind its a NHRA legal 10.00 cage as it sets. if all goes well with the car the track will make me build a better one

i'm well aware of the shortcomings of the W58. ive got a couple spare boxes laying around and i dont realistically see the car spending to much time on high boost.
were going to get the car dialed in and ready once its togather, and hopefully it will only need one weekend of abuse to get the ET i'm looking for. it'll be driven around under the 550 whp mark the majority of the time, and with 275/40r18's with some camber... theres really not going to be much stress on the driveline unless its on the sticky tires at the track. i might go R154 in the future, or i may leave it as is. we will see
