How much do people spend on a catback exhaust and how much power does it gain? It's a Honda, what do you expect from bolt-on?
From cams with higher lift and duration, valve springs are definitely recommended. You don't want to risk valve float, especially since the ls valvetrain isn't good for much above 6700rpm.
