If your going to spend over $4k on the 1.8T why not spend the same amount on the VR6? For that money you can get a turbo for the VR6 and walk a 1.8T like a poodle.
And if you were to do it to a lighter Mk3 chassis all the better.
Rumor has it that the 24V VR6 responds well to chips and brings it up into the high 210s low 220s for HP. Z-Engineering also has a supercharger for it claiming 280hp.
