92-95 japan variations are better quality and slightly different castings than the US versions and have superior flow. B16 is the only head cast PR3. (thats what it says) But it could be a huge typo ? B17 and B16 Blocks arethe sme cast but the heads are very different for eg.Teh B16 head intake valves seats are at a different angle to teh B17 45deg VS 60deg. The intake valves are also different, being lighter and having a thinner valve stem.

I see what your saying i dont get how the B20 uses the same head cast B20 not being VTEC head ? Unless that cast number had changed heads it designates. they have extended cast numbers by date its the 4 numbers to the right of the cast number these can denote minor- major design changes. Ill research it somemore.
