5G 92-95 Civic Si USA EG/EH D16Z6 1590 9.2:1 125@6600/106@5200
this is what im finding under the chasis codes.
Im confused, everything im seeing for this year series mainly 93 is that the coupe and hatch have the same Powerplants and trannys. lemme explain...
92 and 93 Civic's hatch and coupe both have D16Z6 (Si) powerplants, 94 went to the D16Y8 EX specific power plant, both chasis codes are listing under Si, EG and EH. My 93 EX has the D16Z6 with Black Powder Coated valve cover that doesnt say VTEC. Im questing the model and chasis for that year. could the 93 Coupe be an Si as well, mine wasnt badged at all besides the H badge. Ive also found two different specs on that years D16Z6, EX listed 125hp and 104trq, while the Si listed 125hp and 111trq. My undertanding its the same exact engine. Same CR and everything could this be different gearing ? I dont see how since they both have the same tranny ?
Why would this year (93) only be like this ? only fluke ive seen so far ! Transition year ? First Civic Si coupe ? My insurance denied my EX claim wheni filed and listed it as a Civic no model denoted ?
Can anyone supply me with some more info, every chart and book i look at says its an Si EG/EH EGbeing hatch EH being coupe ?
