I have a 1990 CRX Si and the biggest mistake I ever made with it was the suspension. I fucked up twice:
1) Tokico Blues shocks with 2-inch drop Neuspeed Race springs.
-The shocks are not shitty shocks and the springs are not shitty springs but together they are a shitty combonation. It was a shittily bouncy ride. I felt/looked like an idiot bouncing all over Dale Maybry and the interstate.
2) Same shocks as above with generic APC coil overs.
-I wanted stiffer springs and the ability to adjust my ride height so I went with the cheap APC coil overs. No more bouncing and nice tight corner hugging ability...but the spring rate is way too stiff. When I hit a bump the cars chassis would absorb the shock instead of the suspension so its kind of a shitty ride on bumpy roads.
Ill probably end up getting a set of Skunk2 or Ground Control coilovers (if I dont sell my car) and maybe a set of Koni shocks when my Tokicos go bad.
Hope you learn something from my mistakes.
Mike.
