There is a tool that is made just for this, replacing your window takes like 5mins to do. A freind at drivetime does this all the time and repairs cracks etc.. And windsheilds do not just shatter. You watch to many movies. Take a sledge and hammer your window it will not just shatter it will crumble into one giant cracked piece. Your windsheild is designed for this, its for saftey. As far as your other windows yes they can shatter. I just had my window done Friday.
