once again overdoing it! Main relay would just not work if the pump cycled its working fine. once you have fuel pressure the pump basicly shuts off and the ventury vacum affect keeps the fuel flowing until more Throttle is applied and ups the voltage on the Pump circut increasing the psi on te pump and so forth. Pump cycle = circuit fine !
Tune up ! Check your fuel pressure ! Problem solved. ECM doesnt control Fuel pump priming, The first 8seconds of the FIRST ignition cycle the fuel system primes itself. The ECM hasnt even cycled by then. Check for fuel pressure and posibly run some cleaner in the tank if that doesnt clear it up then replace the pump being that old it coud be a good idea. But do a tune up, that always is a good idea. Cap Rotor Plugs Wires. But im guessing dirty fuel system or dieing pump.
oh FYI engine codes are not stored in pre OBD systems hmm nice try genious !! check the year again !
