i just drive easy for a little bit before i get to my destination. It's actually better to do it this way b/c the oil pressure is higher, removing heat faster. I think turbo timers are a big scam to get your money, but thats just my opinion 
I like mine, it tells me realtime battery voltage as well.
Plus it is handy for short errands and for freaking out the vehicularly illiterate who think you just locked your keys in a running car.
